Bushnell Tour V2 Slope Edition
Bushnell Tour V2 Slope edition

I use this term a lot if you know me but this product is truly the best thing since sliced bread.  I got this thing about a month ago and all I can say is...there is no way I can now play golf without it.

At first I didn't like these things. I didn't think I needed something to give me the exact yardages. I didn't want to always carry it around. Well, now that I've used it quite a bit, I have to have it. I got so used to this thing that when my battery died I felt like I left my putter at home.

The only flaw to me is taking the battery out. I feel they could make it easier. Maybe put a tiny knob on it versus a slot that you have to use a coin to take it off. Yeah, it's that minor because there's nothing else wrong with the product.

The Slope part of this device is ridiculously great. Here in Southern California I play some course that have huge elevation changes. There is one in particular that it's become key on. This course was my home course and I still couldn't figure out the correct club to hit. Mind you, the wind is a little swirly up top but at least now, I have a chance to hit the damn green now. I remember we always used to think it played about 170 yards but when I used the Bushnell, it told me it was 162. Sure we were only 8 yards off but 8 yards long is death on that hole. Needless to say, I've played 3 rounds there with this device and I've missed the green just once. I'm  still kind of flabbergasted that this thing can even do this but it does. Right there, it's worth the price but it's not done.

You can now - don't know if you could before - target anything you want to figure out the desired distance to that certain item, tree, building and so on. Now there are spots on other courses I play where I've always wanted to know how far it is to this and that, well I now can do that. It's very simple to lock on your target and flag. It doesn't take the steady hand like certain products in the past, it's just perfect. This is hands down the best way to get your yardages and I encourage every person to go out and get one. You will improve your game and speed up play which is good for all of us.

Review: Trekker Caddy Golf Cart

Review: Trekker Caddy Golf Cart (Award winning!)

First off, I’m not really the type of person to walk a course but when I got the Trekker cart I had to go out of my way to do so. My local course is a very walk able golf course. There are no hills, nothing so I attempted it.

This thing is a breeze to assemble and when I timed it, it took me less than 2 minutes. Mind you, that was opening the box, peeling the plastic off, unzipping the bag. First thought was “How in the world is that little thing going to carry my bag?” Well, open it up fold down the Back to the Future wheels, snap and click and you’re well on your way. Second thing was, I wasn’t embarrassed to push it around, it actually is very stylish.

There are other carts to choose from out there but once you use this, the others will never have a place carrying your bag. It maneuvers very well, its very light and the ease to get around is second to none. The funny part about this cart is that it’s made me walk my local course 6 times since then and if you know me, I refuse to walk a course.

What I’ve notice in the difference between this one and the others is how it promotes pushing instead of pulling like I see so many people still doing. That makes it easier on the body and you’re not tired going into your shot. This thing only weighs 15 pounds max so you will have no problem pushing this around.

It comes in 5 different colors (black, red, white, silver, and yellow). It comes with a handy holder for your umbrella. Score card holder, bag for balls, another compartment for who knows what but it’s good to have!  All in all, these guys have a great product and you’ll enjoy it once you try one. Pictures below...

Just recently I was introduced to an old favorite, the Cleveland Launcher Driver.

Years ago you could not find an easier longer driver on the market.

Well boys and girls Cleveland has brought the Launcher back, with more style cutting-edge technology and more shaft options than you will ever need. After hitting this old favorite I now have a new favorite. Easy to look at, easy on the pocket book and this club really hits the ball a mile.
